1. Scope
This policy explains how Memici LLC collects, uses and shares personal information through the Petjet website, app and emails. It is intended to meet the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA ("CCPA"). [Attorney: confirm whether CCPA thresholds apply to Memici LLC; this policy is written to comply regardless. Consider UK GDPR if marketing to UK residents.]

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information as defined by CCPA. Please do not upload government ID, passport or financial documents unless we ask.
3. How we use information
To provide the Service (eligibility checks, timelines, draft documents, reminders, coordination with veterinarians you choose); process payments and refunds; communicate with you; provide support; maintain security and prevent fraud; improve the Service; and comply with law. Automated tools, including AI models provided by third-party processors, may process your records to extract and check information. We do not use your records to train third-party AI models [Engineering: confirm processor settings].
4. How we share information
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by CCPA. We disclose information to:
- Service providers acting on our behalf, under contract: hosting (Vercel), database and file storage (Supabase), payments (Stripe), email delivery (Resend), AI processing providers, analytics and error monitoring.
- Veterinarians and other parties you ask us to contact for your trip.
- Authorities or others where required by law, or to protect rights and safety.
- A successor in a merger, acquisition or asset sale.
5. Uploaded records
Uploads are stored in private, access-controlled storage, encrypted in transit and at rest, and accessed only by staff and systems that need them to deliver the Service. Download links are time-limited.
6. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. under Stripe's privacy policy (https://stripe.com/privacy). We receive limited details such as the last four digits of your card, the payment status and billing country.
7. Email
We send transactional emails (receipts, timelines, deadline reminders) needed to deliver the Service, using Resend. With your consent we may send marketing emails, which you can unsubscribe from at any time via the link in each email. We may record delivery and open events to make sure critical reminders arrive.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for login and checkout, and [optional analytics cookies]. You can control cookies through your browser. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of any sale or sharing.
9. Retention
We keep account and trip data for as long as your account is active and for [24] months after your last trip, then delete or de-identify it, except where we must keep records longer for tax, legal or dispute purposes (for example payment records for up to [7] years). You may ask us to delete uploads sooner.
10. Your California rights
California residents may request to: know and access the personal information we collect, use and disclose; delete it; correct inaccurate information; opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell or share); and limit use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect it for that purpose). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Submit requests to hello@getpetjet.com. We will verify your identity by matching information in your account. You may use an authorized agent with written permission. We respond within 45 days, extendable as permitted by law.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
13. International transfers
We are based in the United States and process data there. If you are outside the US, your information will be transferred to the US.
