Petjet Terms of Service

DRAFT, PENDING ATTORNEY REVIEW. Not legal advice. Not for publication until reviewed by a California-licensed attorney. Operator: Memici LLC, 12156 Crystal Ridge Way, Los Angeles, CA 91326 ("Petjet", "we", "us"). Brand name "Petjet" is a placeholder pending final brand selection. Last updated: October 15, 2026. Contact: hello@getpetjet.com.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, purchasing a service, or using the Petjet website or emails (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Disclaimer, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.

2. What Petjet is

Petjet is an advisory and concierge service that helps pet owners prepare for non-commercial travel with a dog or cat from the United States to Great Britain and, where offered, the European Union. We review information you provide, build a preparation timeline, prepare draft documents for review by your veterinarian, send reminders, and help you coordinate with third parties. Parts of the Service are performed by automated software, including AI tools, with human review where we choose.

3. What Petjet is not

Petjet is not a veterinarian, veterinary practice, law firm, government agency, airline, pet transporter, customs broker or agent of any government. Petjet does not provide veterinary, medical, legal or government advice, does not issue, sign or endorse any health certificate, and does not transport animals. Petjet is not affiliated with or endorsed by USDA APHIS, the UK Animal and Plant Health Agency, DEFRA, the European Commission or any airline.

4. Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  1. Providing complete, accurate and current information and records, and promptly updating us on changes (including travel dates, who travels with the pet, and pet health).
  2. Obtaining all veterinary services, including examinations, microchipping, vaccinations, parasite treatments and the issuance and signature of health certificates by a USDA-accredited veterinarian of your choice.
  3. Obtaining USDA APHIS endorsement of any health certificate.
  4. Reading and signing any owner declarations and documents yourself. Petjet never signs on your behalf.
  5. Booking, paying for and complying with the rules of any airline, cargo agent, ferry, rail operator or arrival service.
  6. Paying all veterinary, laboratory, government (including APHIS endorsement), airline and arrival fees directly to those parties. Petjet does not collect, hold or pass through these fees.
  7. Confirming requirements with your veterinarian, APHIS and the destination authority before travel. Official sources prevail over anything we provide.
  8. Ensuring your move is non-commercial. The Service is not available for movements involving sale or change of ownership, more than five pets, or a pet travelling more than five days before or after its owner or authorised person.

5. Accounts and uploads

You are responsible for your account credentials. By uploading records (for example vaccination certificates, microchip records, travel itineraries or identity details), you confirm you have the right to share them and grant us a limited license to store, process and share them as needed to provide the Service (including with veterinarians you select). Do not upload information that is not needed for the Service.

6. Fees and payment

Service fees are shown at checkout and paid through Stripe, Inc. Prices are in US dollars and include only the Petjet service fee. We may change prices for future purchases. Taxes may apply. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.

7. Entry guarantee

If your pet is refused entry to the destination country and the refusal is caused by a Petjet Error, we will refund the Petjet service fee you paid for that trip. This refund is your sole and exclusive remedy for any Petjet Error. A "Petjet Error" means a mistake in a timeline, checklist or draft document prepared by Petjet, measured against the official requirements published at the time we prepared it, where you followed our instructions. The guarantee does not apply where the refusal results, in whole or part, from: (a) inaccurate, incomplete or late information from you; (b) airline, carrier or arrival-agent decisions; (c) missed or rescheduled appointments, flights or deadlines; (d) acts or errors of a veterinarian, APHIS, a laboratory or any government authority; (e) rule changes announced or effective less than 7 days before travel; (f) a pet's health, behavior, breed restrictions or fitness to travel; (g) commercial movements or any movement outside the Service's stated scope; or (h) your failure to carry required originals. Claims must be submitted within 30 days of the refused entry with supporting documentation.

8. Third parties

The Service may reference or connect you with third parties (veterinarians, airlines, arrival agents). They are independent and responsible for their own services. Any referral is for convenience and is not an endorsement or warranty.

9. Acceptable use

You will not misuse the Service, submit false or forged documents, use the Service for commercial animal trade or smuggling, or attempt to access systems or data you are not authorised to access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including software, content and templates, is owned by Memici LLC or its licensors. You may use outputs we deliver to you for your own trip.

11. Disclaimers

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN SECTION 7, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT YOUR PET WILL BE ADMITTED TO ANY COUNTRY OR ACCEPTED BY ANY CARRIER. See also the Disclaimer.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MEMICI LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST TRAVEL COSTS, QUARANTINE, BOARDING, VETERINARY, GOVERNMENT OR AIRLINE FEES, OR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE PETJET SERVICE FEE YOU PAID FOR THE TRIP GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you. [Attorney: confirm enforceability under California law, including Civil Code section 1668.]

13. Indemnity

You will indemnify Memici LLC against claims arising from information you provided, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of law.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court. [Attorney: decide whether to add binding arbitration and a class action waiver.]

15. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms by posting a new version and, for material changes, emailing you. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance. You may close your account at any time. Sections 4, 7 and 11 to 15 survive termination.
